Silence is not the answer.

Recently, the Aiken City Council received threatening correspondence from the atheist Freedom From Religion Foundation demanding that the practice of public prayer at council legislative meetings containing “references to an explicit deity” discontinue, and instead “opt for a moment of silence.”

SILENCE…they want silence. Our forefathers came to South Carolina for liberty, not silence.

Would you show your public support for the city council’s practice of asking for the blessing and help of Almighty God?

Join us for a special time of prayer on Monday, August 9 at 6:00pm at the Aiken Municipal Building: 214 Park Avenue SW, Aiken, SC. This event is not a political event, but is intended to encourage the Mayor and City Council of Aiken in their stand for prayer and the free exercise of religion.

You may also show your support by signing the petition at

I agree, silence is not the answer. If we all pray together, good things will happen.

Please do not take prayer from our public meetings.

"If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now My eyes shall be open, and Mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place." -2 Chronicles 7:14-15

"Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them." -Matthew 18:19-20

That's what's wrong with our country and society today; we are too busy trying to take God out of everything! We need to rally together and fight for our right as Americans and Christians to pray to our Lord Jesus Christ in whatever situation we may find ourselves!!!
