Silence is not the answer.

Recently, the Aiken City Council received threatening correspondence from the atheist Freedom From Religion Foundation demanding that the practice of public prayer at council legislative meetings containing “references to an explicit deity” discontinue, and instead “opt for a moment of silence.”

SILENCE…they want silence. Our forefathers came to South Carolina for liberty, not silence.

Would you show your public support for the city council’s practice of asking for the blessing and help of Almighty God?

Join us for a special time of prayer on Monday, August 9 at 6:00pm at the Aiken Municipal Building: 214 Park Avenue SW, Aiken, SC. This event is not a political event, but is intended to encourage the Mayor and City Council of Aiken in their stand for prayer and the free exercise of religion.

You may also show your support by signing the petition at www.palmettofamily.net.
