Aiken Prayer Rally
Officials said there were over 1000 people attending the Aiken Prayer Rally tonight. The entire city council was there, several elected officials, a great number of churches and pastors, and a very enthusiastic group of God's people! The conference room was crammed with 500 people and there were more people outside (public safety closed the alley) than inside.
Thank you for caring enough to come and pray. We don't serve a "generic" or "silent" God. We need the grace and guidance of Jesus Christ, God the Son in the community of Aiken!

Meeting with Mayor
I had a very good meeting with Aiken Mayor Fred Cavanaugh this morning and he will be coming to the Prayer Rally along with the city manager and several other community and state leaders.
Please continue to help get the word out to area churches and community leaders.

Silence is not the answer.
Recently, the Aiken City Council received threatening correspondence from the atheist Freedom From Religion Foundation demanding that the practice of public prayer at council legislative meetings containing “references to an explicit deity” discontinue, and instead “opt for a moment of silence.”
SILENCE…they want silence. Our forefathers came to South Carolina for liberty, not silence.
Would you show your public support for the city council’s practice of asking for the blessing and help of Almighty God?
